Vinnie Montez

FEATURED APPEARANCE: Sept 12th:

Comedy Works South at the Landmark

Comedy Works is pleased to announce that Vinnie Montez will perform at Comedy Works South at the Landmark:

As a 20 plus year veteran of law enforcement, his experiences as a cop and his Mexican heritage are the foundation for his comedy: you just can’t make some of this stuff up. Vinnie got into comedy in 2007 as a means of addressing the stress and trauma of dealing with horrible situations. His first comedy special debut was on Dry Bar Comedy, released in 2019, Vinnie Montez: Armed & Hilarious. With a focus on telling funny stories about being a police officer and promoting better mental health for the men and women in blue, he is a favorite at events around the nation.

I’m Vinnie Montez, an active police officer and standup comedian.

I perform nationally specializing in law enforcement events and am an active member of Humanize the Badge.   I’m a 22 year veteran of law enforcement. I got into comedy as a means of dealing with my own stress and the mental health issues that are inherent with the job.  America means the freedom to just be who you are.  I used be ashamed of my struggles with mental health. Comedy, a protected art form, provides me with an outlet and empowers me.  My background allows me to bring a special blend of comic relief to the stage. I can heal myself, bring respect to law enforcement, entertain, and hopefully help others, all at the same time.
